LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
Tuesday, October 1

Fall is a hopeful time for us, especially if you live in Texas! We anticipate the cooler weather and the holidays that follow as we say goodbye to summer.

Jacqueline Mauer welcomed our parish community back with our first Community Donut Sunday. Many thanks to all who attended and helped her! On September 25th, we celebrated the officers of the Kingsmen, St. Anne’s, and the Altar Society with a special induction Mass by Fr. Tony. Thank you, Aurelia Corbitt, our own lector, Tina Noah, and Susan Kairis for a lovely fall inspired Brunch after Mass.

As we head into October and the rest of the year, remember to go to the website to see the exciting and inspirational upcoming events and programs planned for this year. There are many ways to participate and connect with other members of the Altar Society. Go to Your Profile under Members Only and sign up to serve on Committees! If you need help, contact Lorraine Hellinghausen at lhellinghausen@gmail.com. We look forward to seeing you and sharing these experiences with you.

If you are interested in learning or playing Mah Jongg, sign up on our website under Upcoming Events. Mah Jongg is a fun way to socially connect with other members. We are grateful to Erika Spinnazola for providing this opportunity for our members. First Friday Adoration is a spiritual opportunity to connect to the church thanks to Beverly Marroy and Debbie Begert. For one hour on the first Friday of every month, you can take a break from the hustle and bustle of life and sit in God’s presence in our beautiful church.

For those who signed up for a physical directory, they will arrive in the mail this month. Remember, an online directory is available at the CTKAS website.

Finally, Programming chairs, Betty Hovas and Dianna Unis, have a special event planned on November 21st, at 10:00 AM. Award winning author and spear, Kathy Izard from Charlotte, N.C., will come and share her compelling stories that help you connect the “God Dots” in your life. Sharing her own and others’ experiences of moving from a place of doubt that a higher power even exists to being certain about God’s divine presence, Kathy offers you the courage to recognize God’s guidance in your own life. She helps you trust your deepest intuition, be powerfully present, embrace the unexpected, and risk believing in the dreams God is quietly urging you to follow. Please join us!

I look forward to a wonderful fall of faith and fellowship with you.

Sincerely,

Michelle Collins
