As the school year winds down and everyone is thinking about lazy summer days, hot weather, and vacations, the Christ the King Altar Society begins a new year. Thank you to Gina Rischard, President-Elect, and Sheila Patrick, Membership-Elect, who are handling membership this year. As a reminder, please renew your membership (on-line or by snail mail), if you have not already done so, by July 1.
Outgoing President Michelle Collins leaves some big shoes to fill after a fantastic year of leadership. Michelle’s energy, kindness, and willingness to give of her time, talent, and treasure cannot be overstated. She has left a huge impression on all of us who have worked with her. Thank you, Michelle, for your unwavering dedication and hard work on behalf of the Altar Society and the whole Christ the King Community!
Next year marks the 85th year of the Altar Society, and we have a fabulous Board representing the members. I take the role of President knowing that I have tremendous support and knowledge from women I greatly admire.
We have many memorable events and opportunities for spiritual growth and fellowship in the works, not the least being The Lunch and Bingo which will be headed by our talented Chairs, Gayle Agnew, Betty Hovas, and Dianna Unis. Mark your calendars for a memorable event at the Dallas Arboretum on March 24, 2026. Exciting details to come!
